    I am looking for a 1993 Dodge Shadow Stereo Wiring Diagram with the wire colors defined. I’m wanting to put my Alpine Head Unit in this Shadow I recently purchased & someone prior to me cut the connectors off, so I have to splice to my wires that connect to my Alpine. It appears that there may have been 2 connectors of wiring?? Possibly one for speakers and one for power, memory, ground, etc…

    ground wire for audio the one for the stereo is black in the wiring harness does not have one. there is a black with green stripe wire by its self is this the ground wire. 94 dodge dakota

    On these Dodges that are hooked up but no sound, I’ve found that they usually have an amp that no one tells you about. I’ve hooked a test light to the power antenna wire and probed the left over wires in the factory plug (usually the green wire) and You have your Mystery Amp hook up wire!!

    Cory, you will require a line out converter. A line out converter will allow you to provide an aftermarket amplifier with an audio signal via RCA wires. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

    Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

    If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your subwoofer install.

    Patches, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by pulling each fuse and making sure it is not blown. Most cars have a single wire that provide power to the radio and the cigarette lighter socket so it sounds like you may have a blown fuse. Hope this helps.     I am trying to troubleshoot my 1996 dodge 2500 ram truck wiring system. My radio went out along with other dashboard electronics. I have been able to restore all other dashboard electronics, but the raido eludes me. Any diagrams or helps from previous request would be great.

    My son put a new stereo in 1994 dodge caravan and shorted something out. The radio and dome light don’t work. We check the radio fuse (which is 10A) and is still good any idea where to look the owners manual doesn’t show the dome light for fuses and I don’t see anyother fuse for radio marked.

    Bryan, double check ALL your fuses because certain vehicles may have the domelight circuit tied into another circuit not labeled domelight. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. Hope this helps. Good luck with troubleshooting your 1994 Dodge Caravan domelight.

    my first car audio diy project ever! I bought a used 2000 dodge ram 1500, I installed a Pioneer AVIC Z-2 (off Ebay) I did a lot of research and found the wiring diagrams here (thanks a million ModifiedLife) I was waiting for the GPS antenna to come in the mail. It arrived yesterday, now I figured out all the wiring for power, speakers etc… here’s my Q? there are three wires from the radio head unit that I don’t know where to connect. 1. Car speed signal input. 2. Parking brake signal input 3. Reverse gear signal input. I need to know where is the speed detection curcuit lead off the vehicle injection computer?

    (UPDATE!!! I found out how to install Parking brake, and Reverse signal)

    Daddyto9, use the light green/black wire at the PCM module. The 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 PCM module is located at the right rear side of the engine compartment. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 navigation installation.

    Chris, if you want to have better quality sound system in your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500, the first thing we suggest you do is replace your factory speakers with aftermarket speakers. Here are your 2008 Dodge Ram 1500 speaker sizes:

    Car Audio Front Speakers Size: 6″ x 9″ Speakers
    Car Audio Front Speakers Depth: 2 3/4″
    Car Audio Front Speakers Location: N/A

    Car Audio Rear Speakers Size: 5 1/4″ Speakers
    Car Audio Rear Speakers Depth: 3 1/2″
    Car Audio Rear Speakers Location: N/A

    Second, we suggest you install an aftermarket subwoofer. Here are the five components you will need:

    1. Car Subwoofer
    2. Car Subwoofer Box to house your car subwoofer.
    3. Car Audio Amplifier that matches your subwoofer power needs and ohm rating.
    4. Car Amplifier Wiring Kit that can handle the power needs of your amplifier.
    5. RCA Line Out Converter to feed an audio signal from your factory radio to your aftermarket amplifier.

    First run all your amplifier power from your car battery to where you plan on mounting your amplifier. Next, run your ground wire from your grounding point to your amplifier. Instead of wiring your RCA Line Out Converter to your factory amplifier, wire it to the rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. Next, connect one end of your RCA jacks to the Line Out Converter and the other end of the RCA jacks to your amplifier. This will provide an audio signal to your after market amp. Lastly, connect your subwoofer to your after market amplifier using the speaker wire in the amplifier wiring kit. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps.     Will, we suggest you install a car auxiliary input adapter. This aux input adapter will allow you to input any portable music player, mp3 player, Apple iPod or Apple iPhone into your factory stereo. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory radio directly rather than over the air. Here is the adapter you will need:

    Auxilary Input Adapter for 2005 Dodge Neon SRT4

    If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Dodge Neon SRT4 aux input adapter install.
