  1. in my 2005 dodge magnum i want to put a new radio in it and want to know if is a double din radio or a single dip radio?

  2. i went by the wiring diagram above, but my stereo still doesn’t come on. i checked the fuses and they are fine. What could be the problem please?!!

  3. Melanie, your vehicle may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. Unfortunately, we don’t have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  4. Obed, technically you could connect your amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever the car is on and off whenever your car is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  5. Can you tell me what size speakers are in the front of my dodge magnum? I need to replace them, but don’t want to take the door apart just to see what size they are.

  6. I need to replace the front speakers in my 2005 Dodge Mangnum. I have done some reasearch on what speakers it takes, but have gotten 2 different types. 6″ round and 6×9’s. Which one are right for my car and how do I take the grills off to ensure what is ther before is by new speakers?

  7. can i connect an amp to the stock stereo in my 2005 magnum are there already rca connections and if so does anyone know where they are?

  8. Ron, most late model vehicles do not have rca outputs on the factory radio. You would have to install a line out converter. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  9. Issac, run a primary wire to the steering column and use the violet/brown wire in the ignition switch harness. This will provide a switched power source. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Dodge Magnum stereo installation.

  10. I installed my double din and now it wont turn on? There is also 2 wires left that aren’t listed. What are the white and orange wires for? what am i suppose to do with those?

  11. joe, the factory amp is located under the dash on the driver side left of the steering column . Its has a silver side facing the rear of the car

  12. Thev 2005 Dodge Magnum has an opening for a 6 1/2″ (in the front door), but it uses a plastic spacer. A 4×6″ would fit with the spacer removed. Either way, a custom adapter probably needs to be used, as it is a shallow opening (due to the window sliders), and the factory speakers have 3 mounting holes, not 4.

  13. My 05 magnum was stolen and the stereo removed. hooked everything back up. no power. fed a hot wire have power but no sound through speakers. I am thinking the amp or harness may be bad now. is there some sort or reset?

  14. hi, i have a 2005 dodge magnum and i am looking to install a aux port into my dash i was thinking of tapping into the cd wire to install it but i need to know which wire controls that or if anyone thinks i should be using a different wire the connect.

  15. Keith, we suggest you purchase an automotive auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any Apple iPod, mp3 player or portable music player into your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo directly rather than over the air. Here is the adapter you will need:

Auxiliary Input Adapter for 2005 Dodge Magnum

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Dodge Magnum bluetooth transmitter installation.
