I have actually one quick question. I have got all the wires connected as listed above to the corresponding wires of the CD player I purchased. The only ones I don’t have connected are the Orange, and the Black/Yellow. Everything else is connected. I can put a CD in and take it out, but I have got no lights showing on the player. Any tips would be great.
Thanks
Matt, as far as we know, not connecting the dimmer and illumination wires shouldn’t affect whether or not the lights will show or not. If your radio is brand new, we hope you you didn’t short anything out installing your radio. If your radio is used, it may have been damaged and not working properly. Hope this helps.
I WAS INSTALLING MY RADIO WHEN ONE MY WIRES CAME UNDONE SPARKED AND SHORTED OUT MY OVER HEAD LIGHT I REPLACED THE BURNT FUSE FOR THE LIGHT THE RADIO FUSE IN THE CAR WAS OK BUT NOW MY RADIO WONT TURN ON WHAT CAN I DO TO FIX IT ? ITS A 1995 DODGE NEON
James, if your radio (not your fusebox) has its own fuse, check to see if its blown. If your radio does not have its own fuse then you’ll probably have to get your radio repaired. Hope this helps.
95 dogde neon i hooked the raio up and i know the radio is good but there is no sound is there any relay fuses or any fuses hooked up to the speakers thats would cause the sound not to come out?
Carlos, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 1995 Dodge Neon may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier. Unfortunately, we do not have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this points you in the right direction. Good luck with your 1995 Dodge Neon stereo installation.
I got everything hooked up but it wont keep the time or my saved stations?
Marvin, you may have mixed up the battery constant and accessory switched wires. The battery constant always sends power to the radio to save your radio stations and other audio settings. The accessory switched wire sends power to your radio only when the key is in the ignition and your 1995 Dodge Neon is on. Check your wiring and make sure the correct radio wires are hooked up to the correct wires on your factory harness. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1995 Dodge Neon radio installation.
I just replaced the radio in my 1995 Dodge Neon. Everything worked great yesterday, went to turn it on today and it won’t come on. Still have power, it will take and eject a CD. So I checked all the wires, all good except the constant 12v (backup power) wire is now grounded somehow. Strange because it had 12.37v when I hooked it up. Also checked all fuses I could find and they are all good. anyone?
