I have a 2008 Nissan Altima 2.5S. As far as I know it does not have any kind of upgraded stereo system. My question is do these have any kind of a crossover with the factory stereo system? I ask because I want to use a signal converter and really don’t want to do any summing. Thanks
Bob, you will need replace the aux input on your 2008 Nissan Altima at your local Nissan dealer or install an automotive aux input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any Apple iPod, portable music player, aux input or mp3 player into your factory car stereo. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory car stereo. Here is the adapter you will need:

Ivan, technically you could connect your 2008 Nissan Altima amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2008 Nissan Altima is on and off whenever your 2008 Nissan Altima is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2008 Nissan Altima stereo install.
i have a nissan altima coupe 2008, is the Car Stereo Antenna Trigger Wire: Black, the wire i want to use to hook my remote wire for my amp to? if not, which one do i use?
Ryan, its sounds like your 2008 Nissan Altima radio may be in safe mode or anti-theft mode. Your radio goes into safe mode or anti-theft mode when it loses power. You will need a unlock code to get your radio working again. Radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Nissan dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck with unlocking your 2008 Nissan Altima radio.
I have 4 buttons on the radio of my 2008 Nissan Altima and they will not work all this sudden. It is the DISP, AUX, CD, and RADIO in which do not work ,which now I can’t turn my satelite radio on and off. I just replaced the battery this morning and nothing has really changed except the DISP button now works? Any suggestions? I checked all fuses as well and they are fine.
Bruce, take a look at your battery terminals wires. Sometimes when the battery terminal wires are not in full contact with battery terminals because of corrosion, your radio could cut in and out. Try removing your battery terminal wires from the battery, clean them with a wire brush and re-install. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2008 Nissan Altima radio troubleshooting.
I have a Nissan Altima Coupe with standard cd/player. The display on my cd/radio player flickers and dims constantly. When I manually turn on my lights, the display steady.

Dylan, thanks for the car amplifier wiring information contribution!
If you have the factory amplifier in your trunk, look for a wiring harness under the rear deck speakers…if you have it you can get the 12 volt supply to turn the amp on and off…see nissan dealer to get diagram…take the car in to show them…they wont know what it is until they see it.

I have a 2008 nissan altima 3.5 se with navigation and the bose premium sound. In my trunk there is an amplifier…there is also what looks to be a harness with a female plug on it. I believe it is coming from the amp. Does anyone know if this plug can be utilized to get signal or power to another amplifier for installing sub woofers?
