I have a 2008 nissan altima 3.5 se with navigation and the bose premium sound. In my trunk there is an amplifier…there is also what looks to be a harness with a female plug on it. I believe it is coming from the amp. Does anyone know if this plug can be utilized to get signal or power to another amplifier for installing sub woofers?
I went to 2 different dealers and the 2nd one printed a diagram of the plug. It is a plug to install and upgraded satilte radio even though the car already has one factory installed. Just an FYI for anyone with the same question.
Dylan, thanks for the car stereo wiring information contribution!
im tryin to install a amp on my 2008 nissan altima and i cant seem to find the trigger wire to connect to the amp can anyone please help me
Jose, technically you could connect your amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever the car is on and off whenever your car is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good Luck.
If you have the factory amplifier in your trunk, look for a wiring harness under the rear deck speakers…if you have it you can get the 12 volt supply to turn the amp on and off…see nissan dealer to get diagram…take the car in to show them…they wont know what it is until they see it.
Dylan, thanks for the car amplifier wiring information contribution!

I have a Nissan Altima Coupe with standard cd/player. The display on my cd/radio player flickers and dims constantly. When I manually turn on my lights, the display steady.
Bruce, take a look at your battery terminals wires. Sometimes when the battery terminal wires are not in full contact with battery terminals because of corrosion, your radio could cut in and out. Try removing your battery terminal wires from the battery, clean them with a wire brush and re-install. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2008 Nissan Altima radio troubleshooting.
I have 4 buttons on the radio of my 2008 Nissan Altima and they will not work all this sudden. It is the DISP, AUX, CD, and RADIO in which do not work ,which now I can’t turn my satelite radio on and off. I just replaced the battery this morning and nothing has really changed except the DISP button now works? Any suggestions? I checked all fuses as well and they are fine.
Ryan, its sounds like your 2008 Nissan Altima radio may be in safe mode or anti-theft mode. Your radio goes into safe mode or anti-theft mode when it loses power. You will need a unlock code to get your radio working again. Radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Nissan dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck with unlocking your 2008 Nissan Altima radio.
