Tachometer Wire (-) The tachometer wire on the 4.2L engine is a dark blue/light green wire at the ignition coil pack. On the 4.6L engine, it is a pink/white wire in a 3-pin plug at the front of the engine below the air intake by the fan. On the 5.4L engine, it is a light green/white wire at the ignition coil on the passenger side of the engine.
