Where is the hood pin switch in a 1999 Ford Expedition? I don’t measure any voltage coming from the blue/white wire (11th pin next to the black/pink wire in the Keyless Entry Module high in the driver’s kick panel) whether the hood is opened or closed. Anyone?
Joe, unfortunately, you can only program your 1999 Ford Expedition key at the Ford dealer. Take your new key to your local Ford dealer and have them program your key to your factory computer. Hope this helps. Good luck with programming your 1999 Ford Expedition key.
I lost my chip out of my one and only key i own for my 1999 Ford Expedition. I had one made with the chip in it how do i program it? Or how do i disconnect the factory anti theft system dont care about security as longs as i can drive my kids to the doctor if needed. thank you for your time
Mary, if your 1999 Ford Expedition does not crank then it could be that the key is not coded correctly or the alarm system is preventing you from starting the car. If your 1999 Ford Expedition cranks but the car does not stay running then it may be your vehicle computer or something mechanical. It would be hard to really pin point exactly what the problem is. Our advice is to take your car to an knowledgeable mechanic and have him troubleshoot it. Hope this helps. Good luck with your problem.
My comment is more of a question. My 99 expedition turns over but will not start. We towed it to a locksmith who said the key WAS coded and not our problem. Could the problem be the security system? and if so, do you know how to dis arm it? We have tried every wire in the whole harness and can’t figure it out. Please help if you can. Thanks, Mary.
