  1. Melissa, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to disarm the alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to do. Hope this helps. Good luck on your 1995 Ford Explorer alarm troubleshooting.

  2. Oh My Gosh! HELP! My car (1995 ford explorer) won’t start because of the factory alarm system! I put the key in the door, the ignition, the back doors, nothing works! I jiggled the key every which way in the ignition and finally it worked one time. Then it happened again a few months later but now it wont start, just keeps blaring the alarm until the battery is dead and i am confounded. Please help!!!!

  3. My problem is the very similar to those you have already received. I gave my daughter my 95 explorer so she could have a vehicle, and she was driving down the road when the anti-theft light came on. She got to her destination (the power comp.) and turned the off the vehicle to pay her bill. She could not restart the vehicle. We have tried everything that we know of. Can you help. A friend towed it to their house until she can figure it out. And there she sits. Please help.

  4. James, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to remove the alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to remove. Hope this helps. Good luck on your 1996 Ford Windstar alarm removal.

  5. I lost the keys and remote to my ’96’ Ford Windstar Van. The locksmith made new entry keys but the alarm prevents the van from starting, how to disarm, or any suggestions so I can get rolling again. Thanks for any assistance. James.

  6. In regards to the 1995 keyless entry code question posted by Tom K., the keypad code can be read off from the alarm module located inside the left rear quarter panel access door. A new key fob can be programmed by turning the ignition on and off five times, which will then cause the locks to cycle. Push the button on the replacement key fob and the locks will cycle again. The key fob is now programmed.
Any chance you have a wiring diagram for the door switches on a 1995 Explorer?

  7. Tom, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Not to mention it may not even be the wiring, it may be that the alarm needs to be re-programmed to function properly. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  8. I have a 1995 Ford Explorer w/anti-theft system that i believe was installed at the dealership after the vehicle was manufactured. I can no longer engage the starter with the key , I have to jump across the drivers side engine compartment starter solenoid to start the vehicle. I tested the ignition switch under the stearing column and it appears ok so i am assuming that the anti theft device is in Theft mode. Would you say i am correctly assuming this , and is there any way to reset the anti theft device so i can start the vehicle normaly. I do not have the keyless entry code or keyfob because i bought the vehicle used.

  10. How do I permantly disable the factory alarm system on my 1995 ford ranger? It won’t crank with the key,and the “alarm” lite flashes all the time.I boubht the truck this way, with no remote, the guy had installed an aftermarket cd stereo player(It sounds good but,now these alarm problems!)At 1st it cranked with the key, that quit working a year ago! I left it sitting for a week and on my return, the batt. was dead.I put a new one in:The horn started honking, flashers went on, ect. Any help.Pease!!!

  11. Luis, the ignition switch harness should be located by the steering column. The easiest way to find the harness is to go to the back of the ignition (where you insert the key) and follow the wiring coming until you find the harness. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  12. I am trying to find the 1991 Ford Explorer Car Alarm Wiring Diagram any help you could give would be greatly appreciated and thank you for your time.
