Mike, run a primary wire to your steering column and use the yellow wire in the ignition switch harness. This yellow wire will provide you with a switched power source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required.
