i really appreciate the diagram but why are the rear speakers so quiet? is it because of the stock amp configuration? im helping a friend keep his stock stereo stock, but installing aftermarkets. researching the front door tweeter/mids to see if the crossover is passive with the speakers or if separately controlled by the stock head unit. (gotta love engineers) my current solution is to do the math in configuring resistors appropriated to each speaker to match the stock impedance according to his likes ex: front 40%, rear doors 30%, rear deck 30%. point being that he wishes to keep stock stereo and controls with more speaker warmth. questions being: why is the rear so quiet (door speakers were dummys), is that all the head unit is designed for, are those weird deck speakers for something else like measuring the output of the stereo for dynamic processing, and what smarter tactic is there while using the stock head without removing it. any ideas for encasing hot resistors safely. he doesnt want to put in an amp since he wants to control everything from the head unit using probably the front L/R. is there maybe a “child in back mode”. oh, and what cautions do we need to re-check? i wish i had thought of this for my ford fusion. could of saved on an amp (cheap anyway) but installation and ultimately matching my deck speakers with the doors. hows that for extensive detail?. im sure you’ll probably say something like, “if you did this, you wouldn’t have to worry about none of that. ” thats why im asking the questions i guess. it would REALLY help if someway without breaking copyrights to just understand how this stock stereo works, thd @ 75%, and power output tolerances that are factory safe. if im barking up all the wrong trees and there is a better/simpler or not simpler way, i need to know please. anyone? mad scientist.
