SO I GOT MY AVITAL 3100LX alarm install in my 2006 toyota corolla. Here’s my problem. When I arm the car when the doors are open, I can see the door locks lock and the the alarm arms. I disarm and i can see the door locks unlock and the alarm disarms. Now! When I close to door. And arm the car, the alarms arms and the locks remain unlocked. If I open the door the alarm goes off. So the issue is why isn’t it locking the door when they are closed when i arm the system?
Nathanael, it could be any number of issues causing your 2006 Toyota corolla alarm problem. Start by making sure your door trigger wire is connected properly. If it is connected properly, it may not be the correct wire and may be causing your alarm to arm/disarm backwards. Armando, it sounds like your alarm system is in valet mode. Valet mode disables the alarm system but keep the keyless entry functions. The alarm system may still be in working order but just needs valet mode to be turned off. It would be hard to say how to turn off valet mode because different alarm systems have different procedures to turn valet mode off. Our advice would be to take your car to an experienced car alarm installer. They would be able to identify your alarm and should be able to turn off valet mode in a matter of a couple minutes. i have a question. I have a 2006 toyota corolla S factory alarm. and my question is y doesn’t my alarm go off. it only locks n unlocks my doors. but when i try and test if my alarm works it doesnt sounds at all, n the light at the dashboard blinks but i dont know what should i do. any help?
