I have a 06 maxima and recently had a radio put in but in the end my speakers weren’t receiving sound. It’s a JVC double din radio. I have a Bose factory system, is this a possible factor and to why I can’t hear anything? Do I need to buy an adapter or something like that?
Rickardo, technically you could connect your 2006 Nissan Maxima amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2006 Nissan Maxima is on and off whenever your 2006 Nissan Maxima is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Nissan Maxima amplifier install.
I have a 06 Maxima with stock stereo system. I would like to add an after market sub-woofer and amplifier. I need to fine a trigger wire for my aftermarket amplifier. Is there one on the existing bose amplifier on the back deck that I could splice into?
Hi I have a 2006 Nissan Maxima 3.5SL and i want to install an after-market sub-woofer to the existing 6 disk cd changer stereo that came with the car. Is this possible and if so how can i go about doing it. My main problem is trying to find the red and white line outs in the existing stereo
Teazy, yes it is possible to add a subwoofer and an amplifier to the factory radio. It does take some wiring knowledge and installation know-how. You would require an aftermarket amplifier, amplifier wiring, subwoofer and a speaker to rca line out converter. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:
Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter
When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your subwoofer and amp installation.
I have an 06 Nissan Maxima SE with all stock stero. Is it possible to have aftermarket subwoofers installed without having to replace the current stock stereo?
Gianfranco, if you car came with the factory stereo then you can use the following a iPod adapter for your 2006 Nissan Maxima:
