Hi, I just would like to know which wire is the one that goes to the steering wheel button that change the radio station. Nissan Altima 2006
hi, I would like to know were does the blue remote wire for the amplifier connect in back of the stereo
Edwin, technically you could connect your 2006 Nissan Altima amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2006 Nissan Altima is on and off whenever your 2006 Nissan Altima is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier install.
2006 altima…do i use all 3 plug in’s on the back of radio?
My bf has an aftermarket amp and sub in his truck and I want the same in my 06 Altima, what do I have to do to my factory stereo to get this? I have the controls on my steering wheel so I dont want an aftermarket radio. Does my radio have hook up for amp such as rca jacks, pre amp output or something like that? PLEASE HELP!!!! thank you!!!!
Suzy, your 2006 Nissan Altima does not have RCA jacks on the back of your factory radio. You would need five components:
1. Car Subwoofer
2. Car Subwoofer Box
3. Car Audio Amplifier that matches your subwoofer power needs and ohm rating.
4. Car Amplifier Wiring Kit that can handle the power needs of your amplifier.
5. RCA Line Out Converter to feed an audio signal from your factory radio to your aftermarket amplifier.
First run all your amplifier power from your car battery to where you plan on mounting your amplifier. Next, run your ground wire from your grounding point to your amplifier. Wire up the RCA Line Out Converter to the rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. Next, connect one end of your RCA jacks to the Line Out Converter and the other end of the RCA jacks to your amplifier. This will provide an audio signal to your after market amp. Lastly, connect your subwoofer to your after market amplifier using the speaker wire in the amplifier wiring kit. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Nissan Altima amplifier and subwoofer installation.
Hey. I was wondering two things. One will I be able to use my radio controls to an after market radio, and two since my altima has an amp in it already for the Bose sound system. Will this effect my after market amplifier installation. Thanx
Brian, yes it is possible to get your steering wheel controls to work but it depends on the manufacturer of your aftermarket radio. You will need a steering wheel control adapter to keep your factory steering wheel controls:
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Alpine Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Blaupunkt Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Clarion Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Eclipse Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for JVC Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Kenwood Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Pioneer Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Sony Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Valor Radio
As far as you having a Bose sound system, we advise you to purchase a wire harness because the Bose wiring is somewhat complicated to hard wire. It will save you time and prevent headaches. Here is the wiring harness you need:
