Can u connect a subwoofer with an inbuilt amplifier directly to the original stereo?
Lawrence, yes you can add a subwoofer with built in amplifier to your 2006 Kia Spectra factory stereo. You will need a line out converter to install your subwoofer:
Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter
When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you install a line out converter, your rear speakers will still work properly. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Kia Spectra amplifier installation.
