Chris, your vehicle may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. Unfortunately, we don’t have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this helps. Good luck.
’06 Ford Ranger–cannot change the station or clock on the radio (factory radio). It’s like something happen to the buttons..they just don’t work. The battery was bad and had to be changed out but the radio problem started a month or longer before the battery issues. Is there a reset button on the radio? Has anyone else had this problem?
i just got a 2006 ford ranger and i wanted to put a new sound system i have speakers from my old car and are just a couple months old i have 2 front speakers they are 6 1/2, and 2 rear speakers that are 6X8 will these work in my truck?
Alyssa, the 6″ x 8″ Speakers will work and the 6 1/2″ speakers will not work in your 2006 Ford Ranger. Your 2006 Ford Ranger has 6″ x 8″ Speakers in the front with a 3″ depth and 6″ x 8″ Speakers in the rear with a 3″ depth. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Ford Ranger speaker installation.
