Todd, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to disarm the alarm because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to do. Hope this helps. Good luck on your 2005 Toyota Highlander alarm troubleshooting.
I purchased a used 2005 Toyota Higlander. The dealer isn’t certain if the alarm is OEM or after market and has no documentation on it. After searching on the internet I thougth I had learned how to enable and disable the alarm system correctly, but it went off at 2 AM this morning for no good reason (it should have been disabled, but apparetnly wasn’t). I was hoping to get a wiring diagram so I can uninstall the alarm if I need to. I live in a very safe quiet area and don’t need the alarm going of in a gusty wind or if a cat jumps onto the hood of my car. The alarm has gone off at least 3 times in the past 2 weeks. Soon the neighbors will be complaining.
