  1. The radio amplifier on my 2005 Toyota Tundra has died. I want to just bypass it since I’m putting in a new head unit but I don’t want to rewire the whole truck. The amplifier is a Panasonic unit with two connectors so I would like to just plug in an adapter between the 2 plugs. If I can’t find an adapter, I need to know the wiring harness wire colors to make my own adapter. Can anyone help? Thanks!

  2. Dennis, you will need an automotive auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any mp3 player or portable music player into your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the adapter you will need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Toyota Tundra aux input adapter installation.

I’m trying to hook up mp3 jack to radio , would like diagram for my jbl radio, single cd model. Also any suggested Jacks or tips.

  4. Anthony, radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Toyota dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck with unlocking your radio.

  5. hello the battery on my 04 tundra died and now when ive replaced the battery and tried turning my radio on it needs a code of some sort where do u think ill be able to get that i tried going to the dealership and they are trying to charge me $250.00 for that

  6. Hi,
I am trying to find out the specs for my factory stereo in my 2004 Toyota Tundra. What I want to know is what is the max wattage. I looked through the owners manual with little luck. It is a 1 CD player, AM/FM, with no cassette deck. I’m thinking of replacing it with an aftermarket CD/MP3 stereo, with a max output of 220 Watts.

    thanks,

    Mark
