  1. Zia, we suggest you purchase an car auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any mp3 player, Apple iPod or portable music player into your factory stereo. This is most cost effective way and easiest way to add an car audio input into your factory car stereo. Here is the adapter you will need:

  3. I have a 2004 Saturn Vue, my battery died and we jump started the car. Now the radio doesnt work. There’s no blown fuses that we’ve found in the fuse box. But the screen does not turn on at all. We tried replacing the stock radio with my deck from a previous car. That wouldn’t turn on either. Any ideas? Its very frustrating…

  5. Shak, your 2004 Saturn Vue subwoofer may need the factory amplifier to power it. If the installer did not hard wire the amplifier to run your subwoofer that may be the reason it is not hitting like it used to. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Saturn Vue subwoofer troubleshooting.

  6. I just had Best buy install a double din Dvd/cd player in my 04 vue redline. it works but my subwoofer is not hitting like it did with my factory system. The installer hardwired it, and said I did not need the overpriced wiring harness… Help.. Thanks

  7. I just got an 04 vue and noticed there is an AUX button on the stock HU, I am planning on trying to use this for an ipod using an aux input adapter. Theory is the ipod probably wont be able to charge unless using a power adapter from the cig lighter but the sound quality should be almost flawless. Hope this helps with ideas on how to install ipod.

  8. I have a 2004 saturn vue. Really would like to replace my factory stereo with a DVD receiver. In particular, I want the Kenwood DDX516. However, people tell me that it won’t fit in my car because of a depth issue. People say information suggests that the Saturn Vue’s heating unit is in the way. Others do not mention this as a problem. The DDX516 has a depth of approximately 6.5″. Has anybody with a 2004 Saturn Vue had this problem when trying to install a DVD receiver? and is there a way around it?. Any help would be appreciated.

i got a 2004 saturn vue, i just finish installing a new sterio, all speakers, power and stuff works fine, BUT, my interior lights do not come off after i lock the car!!!! my dome lights stay on!!! theres two wires that i notice they feed power to my dash, light and dark gray wires, anybody has any ideas>>>>>>

  10. Jeff – I had the same exact problem. Radio would show it was tuning but I wouldn’t even get the dead air hum of the amp doing stuff. I pulled the fuse (see your manual) on it, it was alright, put it back in and started the car and it worked fine. Something must have “hung up” and required a reboot. One thing to note before doing that, check to see if you have a security coide turned on on your Radio. If you do, make sure you know it.

  11. Don, if your car is still under warranty, the radio should be covered by your local Saturn dealer. As for the ipod integration, as far as we know, there isn’t an adapter or interface available to directly connect your iPod to your 2004 Saturn Vue. Our advice is that you stick with a high quality wireless FM transmitter. Here’s a popular wireless fm transmitter that some of use in our cars:

Hope this helps. Good luck with your iPod integration.

  12. just bought an ipod classic and would like to use it with my 2004 saturn vue. any ideas beside the over the radio station option? Also my cd player needs to smacked on the side to get the darn to work most of the time. think that it is covered by extended warranty? anyway thanks for any help you may have

  13. I have a 2004 saturn vue… all of the speaker colors are correct in the list above… but the accessory and the constant are not correct.

I currently have my deck’s constant to the orange and the switched to my car’s yellow, the deck works… but the settings reset every time the car gets turned off.

I think I have them flip-flop’d… I think the yellow is constant and the orange is switched… but I have to crack into the dash to give it another try :-)

Has anyone else had this happen?

  14. i have a 2004 vue i want to install an in dash dvd player. Before i dig in, does the parking brake wire have a spot to tap in near the radio or do i have to run a wire all the way to the radio? Is the parking brake wire (+) or (-)? I know i could find this out when i take it apart but if i have to buy a relay i want to be ready. thanks steve

  15. Josh, we’re sorry but you would have to contact your Saturn dealer for instructions on setting up your xm radio. Good luck.

  16. I just purchased a 04 vue, and I wanted to activate the XM radio that is built in. I called XM and gave them the radio id number, they activated it and told me to leave it on channel 1 for 20 mins. I did all this, but it still says no xm signal. Any help/diagrams of antenna/etc would be appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Josh

  17. Jeff, it sounds like your radio is faulty and needs replacement. Our advice would be to have your local Saturn dealer check out your radio or have an authorized audio repair center take a look. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  18. The radio in my ’04 Saturn Vue stopped working. The CD player works fine, but there is no sound at all with the FM/AM radio. It is the stock AM/FM/CD/MP3 player (single disc, 6 speaker system). Any known problems or fixes?
