  2. Have a 2004 Pontiac Sunfire and am installing Pioneer CD player. Bought the wiring harness and hooked everything up but it does not stay on. Face lights up for a brief moment and then shuts off. Checked all the wiring with my test light and the red wire that says 12V iginition has no power to it. Any suggestions?

  3. As some of the others have said….the display went out on my daughter’s 2004 pontiac Sunfire. Yet when all 4 speaker’s are plugged in together there is no sound at all. This has never happened to me in the past and i am very much lost with what might cause this. Any advice or knowledge you could pass on would be much appreciated. thanks.

  10. Steph, you will probably have to source the 2004 Pontiac Sunfire stereo from your local Pontiac dealer or from a local junk yard. Most retailers do not sell factory radios. Your other option is to replace your factory stereo with an aftermarket car radio. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Pontiac Sunfire stereo replacement.

  11. Adrian, most door panel removals can be done with a Phillips screwdriver and by simply pulling the door panel off by hand. Just look for screws at the edge of the door panel, near the door handle or inside the door pull. Once you remove all the screws or plastic tabs, you should be able to pull the door panel off with ease. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Pontiac Sunfire speaker installation.

  13. Brian, its sounds like your radio may be in safe mode or anti-theft mode. You will need a unlock code to get your radio working again. Radio security codes are usually written in your car manual or given to you when you purchase the vehicle. If you do not have the radio security code, you would have to obtain it from the local Pontiac dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck with unlocking your radio.

  18. My son had to replace his 2004 Pontiac Sunfire battery and now radio is “locked.” Stealer (Dealer) wants $100 to “unlock” it. Seems like a ripoff to me. Is there any way for owner to do this? This is NOT a stolen radio or car! He just got married, started a new job, and can’t afford the $100 charge right now. Thanks in advance

  19. Broch, it sounds like you don’t have your amplifier turn on wire hooked up correctly. Connect your 2007 Pontiac G5 amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2007 Pontiac G5 is on and off whenever your 2007 Pontiac G5 is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier install.
