Can you help me find the Diagram or pin out of the stock amplifier on a 2002 BMW X5. I have the non DSP stereo version. I am trying to tap out the rear speaker outputs to feed a subwoofer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Jorge
Jorge, start first with the wiring schematic from the stereo. But just to avoid head aches,I for example, installed a double din touch screen stereo with gps and blue tooth. I ran RCA’s from the rear of the stereo along with the power antenna and the source for the power to the amplifier. I fed a positive 6 gauge power wire to the amplifier positive from the battery bay. The schematics helped me locate the power to the stereo and ignition switched power as well. If you plan to run a separate set up and keep the factory stereo, run a power source from the battery positive and then locate the power or switched wire on the schematic and use it as a power antenna to switch the amp on. you’ll need to turn the ignition key to accessory or on to listen to the stereo. (Tip: install a Automotive Relay to light the amp on with the key if you’d like hide the Automotive Relay by the amp). The switched wiring will turn the relay thus the amplifier on as you turn the key and the stereo on. Install an RCA Line Out Converter from the stereo so you can run RCA’s to the back of the vehicle, you will need them for the amp. The schematic will help you. I hope this helps good luck!

hey, i own a 2002 bmw x5. the previous owner removed the 6 disc cd changer and clipped the wires leading to the harness. i have a changer, but i can’t locate the original wires to reconnect the changer. the original location for the changer is in the back trunk area. i do know that the truck was pre-wired from the factory for the changer. any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi there, similar to the question at the top! I want to run my own passive 2 speaker bass box from the rear door speaker cables? Can I tap into them from the rear? If so can somebody please let me know what color the 2+ / 2- cables are and also where i tap into them. I am not powering any extra amps I just need to access the speaker cables? Any info would be very appreciated. Thanks, Justin.
