  1. case closed haha LOL. i called the dealer and they looked up specs of my car by VIN. dude said there was no factory immobilizer in it… :-)

i was looking for something that didn’t exist. dealer/port toyota car alarm works though fine. just needed an original remote for it.

  2. Feniks, your car may have an immobilizer bypass module hooked up to it. That’s probably why the immobilizer still doesn’t work. Keep searching for the module and remove it from your 2000 Toyota Solara. If you still can’t get your car immobilizer to work, we suggest you take your car to an experienced alarm installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your alarm troubleshooting.

  3. my 2000 Solara (4-cylinder) has a remote starter module installed by previous owner. i want to remove it and use factory immobilizer (not working currently) and toyota alarm (RS3000) which is in car, but permanently disarmed.

i already unplugged and pulled out the remote starter module, but immobilizer still doesn’t work (i can start car with no transponder key). I guess some ignition or factory alarm disarm wires were shorted as a bypass. how do i reverse the steps to get the immobilizer and alarm working? pls help. thanks!
