  1. does anyone know which color wire is the amp trigger for stock amp on a 2000 jeep grand cherokee larado with infinity stereo system?

  2. Branden, it can be done but it will require a lot of wiring knowledge and experience. If you have never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee amplifier installation.

  3. what if you wanted to replace the infinity amp with another of the same power? could it be done? there is ALOT of wiring going to the amp.

  4. Tendenciez,

The only way you can get highs and lows to the front door speakers is by running new wires straight from the radio harness to the speaker itself. The factory amp splits the highs and lows. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  5. this is good info for installing a headunit, but i was interested in finding out what to do about the 6×9 front door speakers,as they only play lows. I have upgraded my 2000 jeep grandcherokee (limited with the Infinity stereo) with some new door speakers, 4-way Eclispe 6×9’s. There is no highs coming thru, they are connected correctly, tho i was wondering if the stock amp may have something to do with it. I was assuming that the 6×9’s stock, where the lows for the system. I was wondering what can be done to get the highs from my head unit to the door speakers. I tried un-pluggin the stock amp and when i do, no speakers work….lol, i need help, got any suggestions>?
    thanks,
