i would like to send me the auto starter key less for honda civic 2010
Gustavo, as much as we would like to help you, not all car alarms are installed the same way. Different brands and different setups will call for different wiring. Our advice is to take your car to a qualified alarm installer and ask them to re-install the remote start system because it does take some wiring knowledge and experience to know what to do. Hope this helps. Good luck on your 1999 Honda Civic remote start installation.
My mechanic needs a Viper remote start wiring diagrams to be able to reconnect the system again. I have a honda civic ex 1999. He was changing an old distribuitor , and now he doesn’t remember how to plug-in the wiring of the remote starter. It’s a factory install, it came when a purchuse the honda.
Joe, thanks for the 1990 Honda Civic alarm installation information contribution!
Mark, just replace your instrument cluster with one from an EX that does have a tach. Call around to some junk yards or check ebay. No wiring necessary, just plug and play.
Mark, you can find a tachometer source at the test plug. The test plug is located under the hood on the driver side near the firewall. It’s usually a small harness that is by itself, has nothing plugged into it and has a rubber cover. Use the blue wire in this plug. Hope this helps. Good luck with your install.
My 1999 Honda Civic DX hatchback has no tachometer. I am deaf and find myself in 3rd gear going over 60MPH on the freeway, or I ‘forget to shift out of 4th after climbing a hill. I have a 4 wire aftermarket tachometer that says to connect to the ‘green wire’ at the bottom of the coil. There are 8 wires in a connector on top of the distributor, and only one has a ‘green stripe’ on a white solid color. Is this the right place to connect the sense wire to the tach? Thanks, Mark
Jason, did you hook up the accessory wire and the second ignition wire?
i have the starter working, but the heater blower doesnt work withe the remote start. i hooked up all the right wires, but i dont know whats wrong? any ideas?? do i need to use the second ignition wire?? this car is manual transmission. thanks, Jason
Jason, you can also find the light green/red door trigger wire in the wire harness under the driver side door sill (where the door sill plastic cover and the driver kick panel meet). Hope this helps. Good luck.
hi i was working on a 1999 honda civic. it had a starter on it from the previous owner but was removed when they sold it. wile installing a remote starter i noticed that they used a pink and blue wire for the tach. i used the blue wire at the coil as it states in all the diagrams, but with no luck. i used the pink and blue wire at the coil and that seemed to work. i also can’t seem to find the door trigger wire. this car has no oem alarm. any suggestions? Thanks, Jason.
