I still have to remove my 1998 Lincoln Town Car backseats to take a look at what sounds like a blown subwoofer. In order to remove the backseat I read that you must unbolt the rear seat belts. You show the size of the 1998 Lincoln Town Car rear speakers as 6×9, but what is the size of the 1998 Lincoln Town Car subwoofer?
Mike, some vehicles require the removal of the rear seats in order to remove the rear deck lid. You may also have to remove the rear speaker grills from some vehicles by either popping the speaker grills off or by removing the screws that hold down the speaker grills to the rear deck lid. These screws are usually located on the bottom side of the rear deck (accessible through the trunk). Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1998 Lincoln Town Car subwoofer removal.
how do I get the rear speaker deck off and examine the sub woofer in a 1998 lincoln town car Cartier edition?
