I have a 1997 Ford F150 with premium sound. I’m looking for the location of the external amp. and also the input color codes and output codes. I’m attempting to replace the original radio with a Standard AM/FM cassette from a 1997 Ford F150. Many thanks to anyone that can help. B.J.
Bobby, it sounds like your 1997 Ford F150 stock speaker wiring has a connection problem in the line. We suggest you run a new set of speaker wires from the back of your radio to your front driver side speaker. This should remedy your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1997 Ford F150 speaker troubleshooting.
I have aftermarket speakers in my 1997 Ford F150 and on the drivers side front door the speaker works when door is open. However, the door is closed the speaker does not work. Do you have any suggestions? I have inspected the wire loom and it appears like there are no cuts or shorts.
