I have a 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII with JBL amplifier in the trunk. The amp has died for the second time so I want to put in an after market stereo. I need to know how the existing stereo and amp are wired up to determine if it is possible to put in an after market stereo (with built-in amp) without rewiring the speakers completely. I need a wiring diagram for the existing stereo to amp to speakers combination. Anyone? Thank you.
I installed a new deck in my 1996 lincoln mark viii using a new wire harness for hook up. however when i turn the car off the radio makes a screech sound for a second or two (like a short). How can i alleviate that problem? Also when hooking up a new amp it doesnt come on unless i hook the yellow accessory wire to the remote wire. however my amp is constantly on. anyone?
Jessie, unfortunately there is no wire harness available to hook up a sub and amplifier without any wiring. You will be required to wire it by hand. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1996 Lincoln Mark VIII subwoofer and amp installation.
hey im wondering if there is a harrness i can buy to hook up my subs and amp to the stock deck in my 1996 lincoln mark viii.
