Hi I just wanted to inform you that you wiring for the 96 suburban 1500 is wrong. the rear door speaker wires are as followed, left rear door is white/tan, and the right rear door is red/tan. What you have labeled as the rear doors are actually for the rear roof speakers in the hatch and the wires are correct. Being as this is a 6 speaker truck and not a 4 speaker truck as you are indicating. Thank you for your help though.
Robert, if you want to save time and make your installation easy, we suggest you get a wire harness. Here is the harness you need:

Im looking to get a little more kick out of my suburban. I dont want a box but maybe some 6″ subs in the center of the center row seats, any ideas?
Steve, it could be a number of things affecting the performance of your factory amplifier. The first thing that comes to mind is that it may be that your alternator is going or your battery needs to be replaced. Your amp can still be on but it may not have enough power to run the subwoofer if your alternator or battery isn’t holding or providing enough power. Second thing is to double check that your wire connections are correct. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Ok I tapped into my rear speaker wires on my 96 suburban and ran them into a Line out converter. then to the amp. In park the subwoofer sounds great. In drive the the subwoofer stops, the amp is still powered. Im using a factory head unit. Any ideas why this is happening.
