  1. Jerry, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 1994 Acura Legend may have a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. Double check that your 1994 Acura Legend amp turn on wire is connected. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1994 Acura Legend stereo installation.

  2. I’m Installing an aftermarket radio in my 1994 Acura legend and all the wires seem to be connected correctly and there is power but no sound I noticed there was a plug that was connected to the stock stereo and was wondering if I need some kind of adapter for it or what I need to I need to do to get this right?

  3. Lirpa420, if your 1994 Acura Legend had its radio wires messed with by the previous owner, we suggest you double check ALL your fuses using an Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. As per your question about which color wires are which, the wire colors we have available are listed above. If all of your fuses are good and you still cannot get your aftermarket radio working, we suggest you take your car to an experienced car audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1994 Acura Legend stereo troubleshooting.

  4. Thanks Modified Life, Since my last post, I got the radio to stay on, but now there is a clicking sound when I start the car, can’t figure out how to get the electric antenna to work and the radio loses its memory and so does the clock. I have installed car audio before, but a few of the wires that are for the radio are in different spots than the diagrams I have found, so I had to hook the blue, yellow and red wires separate from the harness adapter. These are obviously the wires I am having trouble with, due to the fact that someone has already jacked the wiring all up before I owned the car. I just need to know, specifically, which fuses or wires that can be used for constant, switched, memory and antenna. Thanks a bunch!!

  5. Thanks Modified Life, but what about the constant wire? What fuse can I wire it to? Since my last post, I got the radio to stay on, but now there is a clicking sound when I start the car, can’t figure out how to get the electric antenna to work and the radio loses its memory and so does the clock. I have installed car audio before, but a few of the wires that are for the radio are in different spots than the diagrams I have found, so I had to hook the blue, yellow and red wires separate from the harness adapter. 6. Lirpa420, run a primary wire to your steering column and use the yellow wire in the ignition switch harness. This yellow wire will provide you with a switched power source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1994 Acura Legend stereo installation.

  7. I installed an after market jvc cd radio, but it won’t stay on. The Blue/white constant wire has been eliminated for some reason and there is a wire ran to the lighter that did go to a spot that had constant power at the under dash fuse panel, but it shorted out earlier and now there is no power there. I did go and purchase a wiring adapter plug, but something is not right. Any ideas?

  8. Noriko, it sounds like you have a short in your 1994 Acura Legend radio wiring or your 1994 Acura Legend radio is faulty. Our advise is to replace the head unit itself with an aftermarket radio. That way you would have to worry about the wiring or the stereo being faulty. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1994 Acura Legend radio troubleshooting.

  9. My daughter’s 94 Acura Legend’s radio light stays on even after car is off. Even if we take the radio fuse out, the radio area (seek bar, tune bar, preset buttons 1-8 ) light stay on, therefore it drains the battery. it is the weirdest thing. the stereo indicator lit up once and then it does not anymore. the radio, CD works. I took the car to the mechanic but they could not figure it out either. Please help!!!!

  10. my speakers don’t seem to be outputting any sound :/ I’m told that the preamp isn’t receiving power. Any suggestions?
