I have a 1990 lexus ls400 with a Nakamichi premium sound system. Stereo works however the sound is VERY low. The temp.gauge for air/ clock is also out. I’m not sure where the amp is. Located and so I not sure where to even start looking.. Any help would be appreciated.
All questions pertain to 1990 Lexus LS400 v8 4.0 Sedan – (Sorry for all the questions but it’s been extremely tough to find correct answers for them.)
1. Is there any aftermarket 8″ subwoofer that will fit directly into the rear center enclosure 1990 Lexus LS400 without any cutting or any modifications to the enclosure?
2. What is the smallest speaker that will fit directly into the 8″ rear center subwoofer enclosure?
3. The OEM pioneer tape player doesn’t work but the radio does & I want to avoid aftermarket receivers. Is it smart to replace it with another OEM pioneer or is it smarter to go aftermarket?
Would it be ok if I installed an aux input adapter kit onto my oem receiver?
4. My receiver is Pioneer w/o any cd controls w/o leather so does the OEM replacement need to match these specifications?
5. Are there any Toyota or other model Lexus am/fm receivers that fit directly into my model? (excluding Nakamichi brand)
