We are having the same problem as Joey with our 1989 chevrolet camaro iroc. We can’t locate the orange wire with the two white wires inside. We already tried dropping the steering column. And we know its the security system not allowing the car to fire up. Anyone?
hey guys i have an 89 irocz z28 wit the 5.7 tpi the security system is gone bad i have tried to find the wires to do the resistor bypass but cant find the orange wire with the two inside i was told it would be on the steering column so i dropped it and i cant find it at all its driving me crazy any help would be greatly appreciated thanks
Joel, it can be a number of things. If your car is having trouble starting when you remote start and when you do it manually with your key then it may be something with your engine or starter. If your car is only having trouble starting when you remote start it then our advice is to take your car to an experienced alarm installer and have them fix the problem. Hope this helps. Good luck.
