  1. This is very hepful. I would like to know the details of the factory speakers. 4ohm 8 ohm? How are the dash / front / rear speakers wired?

  2. A. Singh, you can find a switched power source at your ignition switch wire harness located in your steering column. Just use the violet/brown wire. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  3. Help! I have a 2007 Jeep Commander & I’m having radio problems… I can turn the power on & off, load/eject cd, radio will tell what song & artist is playing BUT NO SOUND! Is it the radio or is it the speakers?? I took it to the dealer and they want a crazy amount of cash just to look at the radio.

  4. Rae, your 2007 Jeep Commander may have a factory subwoofer amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier. Unfortunately, we do not have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this points you in the right direction. Good luck with your 2007 Jeep Commander stereo installation.

  5. 2007 jeep commander, looking for a power source for a flip down monitor dvd , greatly appreciate any info…………thank you

  6. We have the same problem, can’t hear the radio. We also have leaky windows. My husband was looking for the fuses when he discovered the amp is in the back of the jeep. It was flooded which caused the amp to burn out.

  7. Does anyone know where the radio/sound amplifier for an 2007 jeep Commander is located? Has anyone every replaced one, and if so how easy, or difficult was it?
