  3. I would like to add an additional volume control switch on the passenger side of the dash, similar to the one on the steering wheel of my 2008 F250 truck. I would like to know which wires from the radio to the switch on the steering wheel that control the volume. Thank’s for any information you can supply.

  4. Can I add steering wheel audio controls to my existing steering wheel? My truck is a xlt model. I see the cut out in the steering wheel where the controls would be on a Lariat package. My radio is a sirius satellite with single cd.

  5. When I remove the radio from the dash, is there a “AUDIO IN” port to plug in my XM or do I need an FM transmitter?

  6. does the 2008 ford f250 wireharness have the connectors in place where factory would install speakers. my truck came from factory with only front door speakers. would like to add more speakers if the harness is where the factory would add door and windshield arm pillar speakers and the sun woofler behind seat. i know i will need a amp to power more is the harness capibable to hold this also.
thanks for ur help larry j

  7. I want to connect an amplifier and subs to the factory stereo in my 2008 ford f250 Lariat. Is there a wire I can connect to behind the stereo? Thanks.

  8. Tyler, most late model vehicles do not have RCA outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you install a line out converter, your rear speakers will still work properly. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2008 Ford F250 amplifier installation.
