I have a 2005 Pontiac Vibe Sport Wagon 4D, with the basic package. I dont know alot about cars or the stereo system. I would like somehow to be able to plug my apple ipod in and have it play through the aux, but I dont have anywhere to plug it in, I even took off the trim around it and behind it but nothing. Is there anything I can do?
Steven, you would require an Apple iPod Input Adapter. Here is the Apple iPod adapter you need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your installation.
I have almost the same exact situation as Steven only I own a 2003 Pontic Vibe Hatchback 4D, with factory stock everything. I know almost nothing about cars and would like to plug in my apple ipod touch in the aux but do not have one, and am wondering how is the cheapest way to go about this?
Kaeliegh, you would have to install bluetooth transmitter. A bluetooth transmitter will allow you to connect any bluetooth device to your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the bluetooth transmitter you will need:

So is that just an FM transmitter, because I already have one and I just hate have to change the station all the time.
Steven, that auxiliary input adapter does run on FM frequency but not through the air. It provides an audio signal directly to the back radio through the antenna plug so there is no interference. If you prefer to have an adapter that doesn’t require you to change your radio to a specific station then take a look at the Apple iPod Interface Kit below. This interface is specific to your 2005 Pontiac Vibe.

Ok, so with the Auxiliary Input Adapter I would just choose a radio station for it to play through and that would be it, and would i have to change stations at all? If it was a popular station, would it play over it no matter what?
Steven, yes you would be required to choose a one of two unpopular radio stations to listen to your mp3 player. Simple set the auxiliary input adapter to one of the two stations (87.9 FM and 88.3 FM). Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Pontiac Vibe bluetooth transmitter installation.
