  1. I have a 2005 nissan murrano and it has the bose 6disc stereo in it. I Want to put an aftermarket stereo in it. I cant seem to find the wire harness for that or the dash installation kit . Every one i find says 2005 nissan murrano (non bose).

  2. I want to fit an Alpine CDa 117 to my 2005 Murano with Bose head unit. Like Brian, where can I find a single din conversion kit as I cannot find one anywhere on web? The only alternative I can think of is to have a new metallic insert panel made, perhaps out of fiberglass and sprayed to look like metal. Any thoughts? Thanks

  3. Jonny, unfortunately a 2005 Nissan Murano car stereo dash kit is not available. You will have to get a qualified car audio installer to fabricate one. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 Nissan Murano car radio installation.

  4. Hi, Thanks for getting back to me. I have spoken to a car audio shop and they informed me of the following: The Bose head unit from early (03-06) Nissan Muranos is not meant to be removed – hence why there is no dash kit available! Whilst the back part of the stereo can be removed relatively easily, the face will have have to be cut from the rest of the center dash and – as you say – a suitable replacement designed to fit around the new head unit fabricating. The tricky part is that the circuit board for ALL the center-dash functions is a single piece which means cutting out the stereo would result in a loss of functionality for all controls below it (climate control, fan function etc). The only way around this will be to bridge the controls below the head unit to their corresponding points on the circuit board above the stereo. It seems a bit of a headache but seeing as I have already purchased my replacement system (Alpine CDA-117 and the Imprint sound processor with microphone), it has to be done. I also understand that each of the Bose speakers has a separate amplifier built into it with the subwoofer also having an integrated amp – is this true? Is there any more information you can give me on the bridging (eg diagrams etc) that needs to be done? Thanks in advance. Jonny

  5. hey guys i am mecp certified installer an i just did my very first stereo in a 2004 nissan murano and the radio an ac/heater controls are all on the same circuit board thus making this a far complicated installation the radio can be separated for the radio trim piece to show but u will not notice until the head unit is completely removed an disassembled i will be doing the circuit board modifications to install an aftermarket head unit. pics and instructions coming soon.

  6. I am an owner of a 2005 Nissan Murano (Japan Made). I am Living outside of Japan. Bose audio system with TV and Navigation. This Radio receives radio station from 76 till 90 FM. Is it possible to place a converter to receive more stations higher than 90 on the scale. How I can get an owners manual in English for above mentioned car? Anyone? Thank You very much.
