Tachometer Wire Negative Wire (-): Green
Tachometer Wire Negative Wire Location: At ECM (35 Pin Plug, Pin 10). The ECM (electronic control module) is below the glove box. The tachometer wire is also found behind the instrument cluster in the middle plug.

Brake Light Positive Wire (+): White/Black
Brake Light Positive Wire Location: At Switch Above Brake Pedal

Factory Alarm Disarm Wire (-): Disarms With Factory Remote Only.
Factory Alarm Disarm Wire Location: N/A

Factory Anti-Theft System: Transponder anti-theft system, requires bypass module and extra ignition key. The transponder anti-theft system, is only on the 2005 model year vehicles and is standard on the 2.5 xt model.

  1. Scott, the 2004 Subaru Forester XT does not require a bypass module because it does not have a oem immobilizer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2004 Subaru Forester remote start installation.
