This aux input adapter will allow you to input any mp3 player, portable music player, Apple iPod or Apple iPhone into your factory stereo. This is the most cost effective and easiest way to add an audio input into your factory radio directly rather than over the air. Here is the adapter you will need:

  2. I purchased an XM radio and am playing through the FM airwaves. I am not that happy with the quality. On my 2002 Chevrolet Malibu, there is a button that states CD/Aux. Do you know if there is an aux input in the back of the factory radio? I know that there isn’t one in the front. I do not want to take it out yet due to the fear of it messing up the silly Passcode II system or something like that on the vehicle. If there isn’t an appropriate aux input, is there any problem with just pulling the radio out to install a FM direct adapter in regards to the Passcode system? Thanks!

  5. Jason: you radio may be wired wrong.. Other wise u may need I higher frequency speakers. Tiffany: u probably have a short in the wiring other wise the radio is bad.

  6. I tried to install an aftermarket radio in my ’02 malibu, and everything seemed to work fine except that the volume is really quiet. If I turn the stereo to max volume, I can barely hear it. Any ideas what I did wrong?
