  1. Jamie, it sounds like your 2000 Ford Expedition CD changer lens is faulty and is unable to detect a CD. It is a common problem on older vehicles. We suggest you take your CD changer to an authorized car audio repair shop or replace your CD changer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2000 Ford Expedition CD changer troubleshooting.

  2. Hope you can help. My 2000 Ford Expedition has a six disc cd changer..factory. While listening to a cd yesterday it suddenly stopped. It said, “mag empty.” I took out the holder and put it back in…and it searched through the discs and said, “mag empty.” Any ideas?? Jamie

  3. Alex, double check ALL your fuses using an Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, your 2000 Ford Expedition factory amplifier (if equipped) may be faulty. We suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2000 Ford Expedition radio troubleshooting.

  4. my 2000 Ford Expedition rear speakers do not work. wondering if that has something to do with the 2000 Ford Expedition factory amp??? speakers not busted or anything. just got them brand new. please help, thanx.

  5. D, the negative wire is the black wire and the most common wire for positive is yellow which is connected to battery positive terminal and the other one is red this one is connected to the ignition accessory wire. you need 12v tester you can buy to any auto part store. this harness is under your dash. just follow your steering going down under the dash. connect your tester clip to any metal part of your truck then locate the connector of the ignition key. insert your key and turn on your ignition but do not run the engine. touch the wire from that harness one by one. if your tester lights up and turn off goes off when you turn off your ignition then the wire you need to connect to is the red wire. most accessory wires are white with black stripe or yellow/black. i hope this can help you this helps you.

  6. D, as much as we want to help you, we do not currently have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Our advice would be to call Alpine USA and speak to a technician. They should be able to point you in the right direction. Good luck with your 2000 Ford Expedition CD changer installation.

  7. I have a 2000 ford expedition eddie bauer with the mach audio system. I recently installed my system and I’m curious if it. if it is possible to connect the six disc changer included in the package to my alpine deck. I couldn’t seem to figure out what wire, if any, was for the changer.

  8. I have a Mach premium system that has a rear amp and sub woofer factory installed. I would like to know what the positive or negative color codes are on these wires.
