  1. Michael, it sounds like your 1999 Dodge Intrepid alarm shock sensor is too sensitive. You need to lower the shocks sensor sensitivity to prevent you alarm from going off when cars drive by. Some alarm systems have external shock sensors which can be adjusted externally. Some alarm systems have built in shock sensors which can only be adjusted via alarm programming. If you have never adjusted or programmed your alarm system before, our advice is that you take your car to an experienced alarm installer. It should not take more than 30 minutes from start to finish to adjust it. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1999 Dodge Intrepid shock sensor adjustment. God Bless you too.

  2. Jerry, my Ministry recently received a donated 99 Intrepid. Although the speedometer says 126,000 approx., they tell me a new engine was put in 25,000 miles earlier. Everything appears to be working fine although I do not want to pay the expense of having someone look it over. The car alarm however does seem to go off frequently in the middle of the night since I have no option but park the car outside currently. My guess is that there is no kind of adjustment for the alarm system. Most likely either leave it off or find a way to turn it off, which I would rather not do if I can get by without continuing to disturb the neighbors and my sleep at night. And I think I saw on the internet earlier that one has to even purchase a “module” of some kind to turn it off as well. Any comments would be appreciated. God Bless.

  3. Jerry, you may have crossed some wires during your installation. Double check your wire connections and make sure you don’t have any blown fuses. If this is your first time installing a car radio, consider taking it to a reputable car audio installation shop. Good luck.

I just put an aftermarket radio in my 99 dodge intrepid and the following now does not work: the alarm system, trunk release, power locks, and the horn beeps when you first turn the key on. Any suggestions?
