  1. I have a 1998 GMC Sonoma with the in dash CD/AM/FM player and the separate cassette deck down below in the console. I am currently using the cassette to hook up my MP3 player through a Sony cassette tape with cable. It’s a real pain, especially in cold weather when the tape won’t stay in. Anyway, is there a way to replace the separate cassette player in the console with a MP3 Aux. port. It seems to me the cassette unit has wiring or a connecting cable that could be used for a direct MP3 connection to the main unit in the dash?
Please help me? Thanks, Greg in PA.

  2. Greg, you will need a bluetooth transmitter. A bluetooth transmitter will allow you to connect any bluetooth device to your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the bluetooth transmitter you will need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1998 GMC Sonoma bluetooth transmitter installation.

  3. I would prefer to hard wire the Aux. Input port. Does my unit have an unused AUX port on the back of it? It is a single CD player, is there an Aux port on the back of this unit? Let me know. Thanks, Greg in PA
