2002 chevy tahoe stereo wiring.attached new adapter ,pluged in ,no sound.has factory amp.also has second factory plug to factory stereo.do i need to splice any wires to secondery plug?
Mike, your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe may have a factory subwoofer amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier. Unfortunately, we do not have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this points you in the right direction. Good luck with your 2002 Chevrolet Tahoe stereo installation.
for the factory amp to turn on, supply power to the pink wire in the second black harness from either a switched power or the remote wire lead which should be blue from your stereo wiring harness so it will only turn on when you are powered and using the head unit.
Jason, thank you for your 2002 Chevy Tahoe amp turn on wire information contribution!
No sound out of speakers.
where does the pink wire on a radio wiring harness (lable lamp on) connect to?
Brandon, double check that you hooked up everything correctly, double check all your connections and make sure there are no exposed wires. Make sure you use the chassis as a ground for your interface because sometimes using an existing ground can cause noise. Hope this helps. Good luck.
my left front speaker in my 2002 tahoe makes a strange buzzing sound when in aux mode. Would this be a wire problem or is there a problem with my speaker or radio? It started doing this after i installed a ipod interface.
