  1. i am trying to connect an amp to my pontiac g5 2007 it has a stock radio and the only problem i have is that i dont know where the to connect the remote cable that goes to the amp. help please

  2. Gabriel, technically you could connect your 2007 Pontiac G5 amplifier turn on wire to the yellow wire in the ignition switch harness located in the steering column. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2007 Pontiac G5 is on and off whenever your 2007 Pontiac G5 is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier install.

  3. I have a 2007 pontiac g5 se with a pioneer factory stereo . I have turned off the auto volume and it still fades up and down. Does anyone have a solution?

  4. I also have a 2007 Pontiac G5 with a pioneer factory stereo. I was told my amplifier was shot and am trying to find its exact location but having trouble finding it. I heard it was under the dash some where any help would be greatly appreciated! anyone?

  5. i have a 2007 Pontiac g5, and my battery went out so i replaced it and ever since then my radio hasn’t worked, i checked all the fuses front and back but nothing.. can someone help?

  6. Eric, double check ALL your fuses using a Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, your 2007 Pontiac G5 factory amplifier (if equipped) may be faulty. We suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Pontiac G5 radio troubleshooting.

  7. Hi There, I’m looking to replace my subwoofer in my 2007 pontiac g5 with a better amp and woofer. Whats the best way of getting this done?

  8. Sean, you will need some aftermarket electronics to hook up an aftermarket subwoofer to your 2007 Pontiac G5 factory stereo. You will need five components:

    1. Car Subwoofer
    2. Car Subwoofer Box to house your car subwoofer.
    3. Car Audio Amplifier that matches your subwoofer power needs and ohm rating.
    4. Car Amplifier Wiring Kit that can handle the power needs of your amplifier.
    5. RCA Line Out Converter to feed an audio signal from your factory radio to your aftermarket amplifier.

First run all your amplifier power from your car battery to where you plan on mounting your amplifier. Next, run your ground wire from your grounding point to your amplifier. Wire up the RCA Line Out Converter to the rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. Next, connect one end of your RCA jacks to the Line Out Converter and the other end of the RCA jacks to your amplifier. This will provide an audio signal to your after market amp. Lastly, connect your subwoofer to your after market amplifier using the speaker wire in the amplifier wiring kit. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Pontiac G5 amplifier and subwoofer installation.
