  1. Hey guys. I got a 2007 nissan sentra last week. Everything is fine untill today. The alarm keeps going off randomly when ever it feels like and I don’t know what to do. I read your comments about seing a alarm person but I’m not sure if our alarm problems are similiar. Please help me =]

I have a 2011 Nissan sentra after installing hid kits on my fog lights and driving lights and adding airhorns to the horn only my panic button, and parking lights and horn stop working only when I try to arm the factory alarm or hit the panic alarm to set it off. I removed all the hid kits and air horn and it still doesn’t work. But when I normally turn on my lights and blow my horn it works perfect. What can make the horn and parking lights not to work when arming the alarm or trying to set the panic alarm? The dealership tried to replace the bcm and that didnt work and now there gonna try to replace the icm but I think that won’t work either. Has anyone had a problem like this? What should I do? And like always the dealership is trying to blame it on the hid kit

  3. Jessical, it sounds like your 2007 Nissan Sentra alarm shock sensor is too sensitive. You need to lower the shocks sensor sensitivity to prevent you alarm from going off when cars drive by. Some alarm systems have external shock sensors which can be adjusted externally. Some alarm systems have built in shock sensors which can only be adjusted via alarm programming. If you have never adjusted or programmed your alarm system before, our advice is that you take your car to an experienced alarm installer. It should not take more than 30 minutes from start to finish to adjust it. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2007 Nissan Sentra shock sensor adjustment.

  4. I just got a 2007 Nissan Sentra. The first week I had it the alarm never went off once. It was parked in the same place it is now. ( We have a lot of Semi trucks that drive by & also a train in the back that is constantly running by.) Tonight out of the blue my alarm started going off. I got the book out and all I can really find out about it is to either leave the car unlocked to not set the alarm or to click unlock to stop it. But neither is working and it wont stop.I just don’t know what to do …. PLEASE HELP ME ! Jessica T.

  5. Will, it sounds like the sensitivity on your shock sensor is set too high. Every alarm is adjusted differently so our advice is to take your car to an experienced alarm installer and have them turn the sensitivity down. Hope this helps. Good luck with your shock sensor adjustment.

  6. Hi Guys, I’ve got a 2008 Nissan Sentra and my alarm keeps going off at the slightest provocation. My wife didn’t turn the ignition switch all the way off one night and the car wouldn’t start the next morning. AAA came out and jump started it okay, but recently the alarm has been super-sensitive. How can I “tone down” or reset the alarm sensitivity?

  7. Victor, yes your Nissan Sentra has an immobilizer that you will have to bypass to install a remote starter. Hope this helps. Good luck.
