  1. I’m putting new speakers in my back doors of my 2006 nissan pathfinder. Does anyone know which wire is the positive wire, the grey or the orange?

  2. Clare, you will need an automotive auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any mp3 player or portable music player into your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the adapter you will need:

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Nissan Pathfinder aux input adapter installation.

  3. I have read the best way to use the IPOD Touch is to simply use a stereo cable between the IPOD speaker jack hole and the car stereo in audio or in aux. Will this work in my 2006 Pathfinder. Is it this simple for good sound? I just want to hear music from my IPOD while driving. Thanks

  4. Bruce, are you asking for a replacement for your 2006 Nissan Pathfinder factory stereo that can play DVD’s and still keep your steering wheel controls? – or – are you asking to watch videos on your iPod and how to play the audio through your factory 2006 Nissan Pathfinder stereo? Please be more specific and we’ll do our best to help you out.

  5. Hi, what is the best option available to me in order to use an iPod through my 2006 Nissan pathfinder stereo so as I can both watch movies and use the steering wheel controls.

  6. Mike, the vehicle speed sense wire is light blue and can be found at the back of the instrument cluster. There should only be one light blue wire, just search all the harnesses that are plugged into the rear of the instrument cluster (or gauges). Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Nissan Pathfinder car alarm installation.

  7. need to find the VSS wire on 2007 Nissan Pathfinder SE.
it has the factory radio (not Bose) system. i have read other forums to find the wire on the 32 pin plug on the back of the radio. there is not a 32 pin plug on this model. i need to find it elsewhere.

also read to find it on pin 6 of the instrument cluster. if so how to indentify the instrument cluster? i looked behind the panel and there are a few sets of wires.

  8. Your color code wiring diag. for the the 06 pathfinder was a great help installing a new Alpine stereo. However, I was left with two wires from the car that had no match on the stereo and which ware not addresses on your diag. I was left with a green with grey spots wire and a black with grey sopts wire. In fact the car wire bundle came with two of each of these colors.
The stereo works normally in all areas as per the manual. can you shed some light on what these two wires are and where should they be connected?

    Regards
