  1. A big thank you. My daughter just bought a used 2003 Mazda 323 Protege, as her first car, and of course she upgraded the sound system. (and Dad gets the job!!!) I looked in a lot of places but you guys did the trick for the speaker wiring diagram. So thanks again from a very happy Aussie. (Gold Coast, Queensland)

  2. Miguel, technically you could connect your 2006 Mazda 3 amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2006 Mazda 3 is on and off whenever your 2006 Mazda 3 is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. Hope this helps. Good luck with your amplifier install.

  3. I want to install an Aux jack to the Media button (not the Satellite Radio button) and am looking for a photo, drawing, or some kind of schematic so I can see what I’m dealing with before I tear my car apart. Thanks.

  4. Ly, as much as we would like to help you, most of the car stereo wiring information listed on our website is provided by our visitors. We currently do not have the 2006 Mazda Mazda 3 Media button wiring information but hopefully someone from our Modified Life community would be able to chime in and help you out.

  5. Ike, when splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you install a line out converter, your rear speakers will still work properly. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2006 Mazda 3 amplifier and subwoofer installation.

  6. Thanks a lot for the wire diagram o the 2006 mazda3!! made my job so much easier. I got a new system for my car but did not want to track all the wires down myself. so thanks for helping with the bump in my trunk.
