  1. May, the light bulb that is dim or flickers on the left side of your passenger headlight is your HID headlight bulb. It sounds either your ballast (module that powers your HID bulb) or the actual bulb is faulty. Our guess is that your bulb is out because the life span of bulbs are not as long as the factory ballasts. Factory ballasts tend to last a long the life of the vehicle. Here is the replacement bulb you need:

As far as the light on the right side of the passenger headlight, that is your daytime driving light. Here is the bulb you need:

Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2005 BMW 330ci headlight bulb replacement.

  2. Can you please help me? I recently lost my headlights on the right side (passenger side) and need to get replacement bulbs but I don’t know what to get. I’ve gone to the Bimmer forums but there’s so much information available and it’s sometimes intimidating to ask what I would consider basic questions. So here’s the model car I have: 2005 BMW 330ci Convertible w/Sports Package. I also have Xenon headlights as well. If you’re in front of the car, and looking at the lights on the passenger side, the lamp to the right is completely out and the lamp on the left of it is either dim or flickers. Can you please advise me as to which is the Xenon and which is Halogen and of the two, which is for high beam and which is not? I need to get replacement bulbs soon before I get a ticket. If you can help, I would greatly appreciate it! Thank You!
