  1. Jason, as much as we would like to help you, most of the wire information listed on our website is provided by our visitors. We currently do not have any information on the 2002 Toyota Sienna steering wheel controls wiring but hopefully someone from our knowledgeable Modified Life community would be able to chime in and assist you. What we can tell you is that if you installed an aftermarket radio into your 2002 Toyota Sienna and want to retain your steering wheel controls it is possible but it depends on the manufacturer of your aftermarket radio:

Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Alpine Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Blaupunkt Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Clarion Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Eclipse Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for JVC Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Kenwood Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Pioneer Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Sony Radio
Steering Wheel Control Adapter for Valor Radio

If you have never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Toyota Sienna steering wheel control installation.

  2. I Need steering wheel control wireing diagram for 2002 toyota sienna van? Can u help ? no one seems to be able to produce any results . thankz

  3. Evilroy, the safest way to test of which terminal is positive and which is negative is to invest in a multimeter. Take the red probe (positive side) and touch one of the speaker terminals. Now take the black probe (negative side) and touch the remaining speaker terminal. If the reading on the meter shows a positive voltage reading then the red probe is touching the positive speaker terminal and the black probe is touching the negative speaker terminal. If the meter shows a negative voltage reading then the red probe is touching the negative speaker terminal and the black is touching the positive speaker terminal. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Toyota Sienna speaker polarity testing.

  4. I have a 2002 Toyota Sienna. I have removed the front driver’s side door speakers. The two wires that connect to that speaker are green and grey. Which is positive and which is negative? I am assuming green=+, grey=- but I want to be sure.

  5. I have a 2002 Toyota Sienna van Symphony package, now I would like to replace the stock CD/RADIO unit with the PIONEER AVH-P3200BT. Which wire harness adapter should I used, please advise, thanks.

  6. Firebaad, most vehicles have a factory hole with a rubber or plastic grommet at the firewall. This is usually the standard place to run a power wire through the firewall. If one of these holes are not available or not large enough, a hole will have to be drilled to accommodate your power wire. Choose something on the engine side of the firewall as reference and try to match it up on the interior side of the firewall. This will make sure you do not drill through anything important. Then drill a hole somewhere near or beside your reference point. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Toyota Sienna amplifier installation.

  7. I have replaced the original JBL HU in a 2002 Toyota Sienna XLE and would like to add an amp for a sub. Can you suggest a good location to run a power line through the firewall. Thanks

  8. Xavier, most late model vehicles do not have RCA outputs on the factory radio to feed an audio signal to your aftermarket amplifier. You would have to install a line out converter to supply an audio output. Here is the Line-Out Converter you need:

Scosche 2-Channel Speaker to RCA Line Out Converter

When splicing in the RCA Line Out Converter, tap your factory rear speaker wires to get a full range audio source. We suggest you invest in some solid wire taps that wont come loose. These wire tap connectors will allow you to tap into wires without cutting and installs in seconds by hand with no crimping or tools required. If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Toyota Sienna amplifier installation.

  9. i have a 2002 toyota sienna mini van and i am trying to install a amplifier in the van . i found every wire to connect except the auxilary plugs arent on the back of the stock stereo is there a way i can hook it up without the auxilary plugs or do i have to by additional plugs to install???

  10. Thank you very much for responding. The wire color codes indeed are very helpful if I have the harness wires. But what I forgot tell you is that what my friend gave me was the car stereo alone, without the multi-colored wires in a harness that is inserted to the (female) socket of pins behind the stereo – and so I also need from you which pin in the socket will I connect the wires as I do not know which pin is for power, ground, left speaker, right speaker, etc. By the way, I also forgot to tell you that the Toyota JBL 6-CD changer car stereo was pulled out from a 2004 Toyota Sequoia, not from a Toyota Sienna. Thank you very much again.
