  1. Daniel, double check ALL your fuses using an Automotive Fuse Tester because certain vehicles may have a wire tied into another circuit not labeled as car radio. You may have additional fuse boxes by the driver side of the dash, passenger side of the dash, driver kick panel, passenger kick panel, under the steering column or under the hood. If all of your fuses are good, we suggest you take your car to an experienced audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Ford Expedition radio troubleshooting.

  2. I tried installing an aftermarket head unit. When I turned on the car after the install, it did not come on. I thought maybe it was a bad unit, so I put back in the OEM Ford head unit but then that didn’t come on either. It was working before the switch so I’m confused. I have an 02 Expedition with Premium Sound (w/o Subwoofer) and the 6 disc changer in the console. I’m not worried about the CD changer, I just want to know what to do about the head unit. I checked fuses and they seem fine. Any suggestions?

  3. Ruben, you may have mixed up the battery constant and accessory switched wires. The battery constant always sends power to the radio to save your radio stations and other audio settings. The accessory switched wire sends power to your radio only when the key is in the ignition and your 2002 Ford Expedition is on. Check your wiring and make sure the correct radio wires are hooked up to the correct wires on your factory harness. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2002 Ford Expedition radio installation.

  4. i’m hoping someone can help me with a problem. i’ve changed out 2 radio/cd players already, and i’m having trouble with both keeping memory settings, every time i turn the engine off, nothing is saved on the player, stations, cd track etc. also, i’ve changed out both battery terminals already, hoping that might fix it, bummer,i still have the problem, help would be cool to get, thanx

  5. Andrew, if you’re looking for a wire to turn on your amp.. technically you could connect your 2001 Ford Focus amplifier turn on wire to the radio switched 12v+ wire. That way your amplifier is on whenever your 2002 Ford Expedition is on and off whenever your 2002 Ford Expedition is off. Just make sure to run an in-line fuse holder with a 1-amp fuse on the amplifier turn on wire. You cannot use your antenna trigger wire because your amplifier will only turn on when your radio is on but won’t turn on when you play a CD. Hope this helps. Good Luck.

  6. I’m assuming the car stereo antenna trigger wire is what should be spliced to a remote turn on wire for an aftermarket amp? I can’t seem to find a solid blue wire in the pile of wires behind the deck. I believe it’s the smallest of the 3 harnesses of wires for audio, due to the fact that I see the same colors that run to the pre-amp in the rear for the factory sub. the other 2 sets of wires probably have something to do with with VHS player and CD changer. But from the deck I don’t see what color could be used for a remote turn on for my amp. Help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  7. I’m looking to add an Ipod to my oem stereo. I have a 2002 ford Expedition (Eddie Baurer) with cd changer. Can I add it without giving up my cd player?

  8. Nick, use the black/light green wire in the ignition switch harness located in the steering column. This is a switched power source. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  9. Mike, if your car didn’t come with a CD changer, it may or may not have a CD changer cord installed in your expedition. Most late model Ford Expeditions have the factory CD changer installed in the armrest between the front seats. You can take apart your center console to see if there is a CD changer cord underneath it. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  10. where is the cd changer cord for my 2002 ford expedition mine has a full bench in the front
iam trying to hook up a factory ford cd changer
