  1. i have a 99 lexus rx300 with the stock pioneer radio. I am going to remove it and move the ac controls so i can add a touch screen system. What I really need to know is what trigger the stock amp. i have been int to mercedes benz and everything is can-bus. is this or does it run off a remote line. Also is it balanced level in? has anyone used a pac audio kit? any help would be great.

  2. Beth, we suggest you purchase an automotive auxiliary input adapter. This adapter will allow you to input any Apple iPod, mp3 player or portable music player into your factory radio. This is the easiest and most cost effective way to add an audio input into your factory stereo. Here is the adapter you will need:

Aux Input Adapter for 2000 Lexus RX300

If you’ve never installed car audio before, we advise you to purchase the adapter and then take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer. The installation of this particular auxiliary adapter is pretty straight forward and shouldn’t take more than an hour. An experienced audio installer should charge you no more than $45 to $60 to install it depending on your area. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 2000 Lexus RX300 aux input adapter installation.

  3. I am purchasing a 2000 Lexus RX300 for my 16 year old daughter and need to update the stereo to accommodate the iPod, mp3 etc. What adapter will I need for the 2000 Lexus RX300? Where should I take it to have it installed??? Do I need a whole new stereo system? The kids don’t use cd’s anymore anyway so will this adapter be all that is necessary for her to play music from her iPod or iPhone? What is a fair price for having this adapter installed?

  5. I have a 1999 Lexus RX300 which I would imagine has stereo wiring similar to the 2000. I would like to install an iPod adapter. Do you have a favorite unit that integrates well with the standard Lexus (multi-CD, not Nakamichi) stereo? Thanks!

  6. Im looking to put in an after market sub in my 2000 lexus RX300. I’m not looking for a huge system, i just have one 12″ sub that im looking to put in. I think i can intercept the signal going to the factory sub underneath the passenger seat and re-route it to the back sub that im putting in, but im not sure. Has anyone put one in that could give me advice. Also if i could get a wiring guide that would be great. Thanks

  7. Jeff, it sounds like your radio might be in anti-theft protect mode. You may require an unlock code to get your radio out of standby mode. If you do not have the unlock code, you may have to get it from the Lexus dealer. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  8. I have a 200 lexus es 300. I recently replaced the battery and now the radio doesn’t work. It is just dead, no power at all. Any idea where I should start?

  9. the factory amp is on the bottom of the rear seat in the back of the car fold down the back seats and you will have to take out everything in the trunk it going to be a long process if you want to get at it

  10. Hello… I am having the same issue as Rupesh. I have a 2000 Lexus RX300 and I believe the factory amplifier has become defective. I would like to find the amplifier so that I can test it and get a replacement but I can’t seem to locate it. Can you please tell me where the amplifier would be located in this model of Lexus SUV? Thanks for your time and help!!!!! Mike

  11. Rupesh, you may have a faulty factory amplifier in your car that is preventing any production of sound. Our advice would be to have your local Lexus dealer check out your audio system and find out what the problem might be. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  12. hello, i have 2000 lexus rx300. since last two days i am having problem with my audio. i play the cd player in car always. but one day when i start playing cd player in car then it shows that the songs are running but i was not having any voice. means that speaker was not working. i check the bass, mid, all options in the front panel but didn’t work out. so i thought something wrong with the tape. then the next day morning i was going to work and i start the tape and it was working fine. i can hear the voice of the songs. but again for my lunch when i was starting the car at that time it’s gone. i can’t hear the voice from the speaker. and since last two days it’s not working any how. so first time it stopped working and the next day morning it was working fine, and now it’s not working at all. so i m confused. if any one can have some idea on this please let me know. thanks
