where i can find the amp and back speakers on a 2000 audi A6? anyone?
I have a difficult problem. I have an axxess controller to connect my steering wheel controls to my aftermarket CD player. When I tried to connect it the two wires needed are not connected to the plug. According to metra, the company that makes the axxess, it has to do with the factory navigation system and they will not support my vehicle. By reason there has to be a connection between the wheel and the radio. I’m guessing that the wires are somehow run through the navigation connection. What I need to know is which wire is carrying the steering control information so I can connect it to the axxess. any information on how the wiring is changed when the navigation system is added would be helpful. the wiring is also different for the Bose system which I have, requiring two connections to the steering controls instead of one. that information is from the axxess website though which isn’t very detailed.
Steve, it sounds like i could be either a grounding problem or a faulty amplifier. Our advise would be to have your local Audi dealer check out your audio system and find out what the problem might be. Hope this helps. Good luck.
Great site, thanks for the information. Do you have any ideas why the Bose stereo system in an 2000 Audi A6 speakers put out loud static even when the radio is turned off. This is an intermittent problem that drives you crazy.
Thanks for any feed back.
