  1. ^^^^^^
I am having the same issue as Dan. I put in aftermarket 6×9 speakers into my 99′ Ram 1500 and had no clue what to do with these things. I’m pretty sure it’s part of the infinity sound system. I ended up duct-taping the things to the inside of my door. This won’t last long. Does someone sell brackets to attach these things on aftermarket speakers? I just do not want to pay someone at bestbuy to figure it out. Any help would be great.

  2. I have a 1999 dodge ram 1500 quad cab sport. I went to change the front 6×9 speakers and there are these curcuit boards attached to the factory speakers with a bundle of wires to each side. what are they and how can i avoid them? anyone?

  3. Derek, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good, your 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 may have a factory amp that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car radio amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier to output sound from your speakers. Double check that your 1999 Cadillac Deville amp turn on wire is connected. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 stereo installation.

  4. I just got a 99 dodge ram 1500 Laramie. I got excited and cut both the quick connect wiring harnesses. I looked up some other forums on here, in which i got my speaker wires right, but not my power, illumination, antenna, etc. the colors im working with are Pink, Red with white stripe, orange, yellow and black, blue and red, brown and red. I know with the red and white connected to the yellow, and red cord my cd player turns on… but i cant do anything with it, no sound no display nothing. It just doesnt make any god damn sense. please help.

  5. my 99 dodge ram does not have a red constant hot wire, could it be another color if so what color is it. I cant find a constant hot wire anywhere within the radio harness?

  6. Thomas, first double check ALL your fuses and make sure ALL your fuses are good. You can do this by using an Automotive Fuse Tester and making sure all of your fuses are not blown. If all of your fuses are good and you have a voltage going to your radio, you may have a problem with your Pioneer DEH-P80MP radio. If you purchased the radio new, you may have shorted out your radio or if you purchased your radio used, it may have already been shorted out by the previous owner. We advise you to take your car to an experienced mobile audio installer and have them troubleshoot your problem. Hope this helps. Good luck with your 1999 Dodge Ram stereo installation.

  7. Hey guys, I have a pioneer deh-p80mp that I hooked up but dose not turn on. Im pretty sure it works. I have voltage on the red and red/white wires. Im not sure what’s going on, if I plug the factory radio in it turns on fine.

  8. Jon, your 1999 Dodge Ram 1500 Truck may have a factory amplifier that needs to be turned on by your after market radio. The car stereo amplifier trigger wire has to be wired up to turn on your factory amplifier. Unfortunately, we do not have this information but maybe someone from the Modified Life community can post that information here. Hope this helps. Good luck.

  9. im tryin to hook up an after market CD player and i have everything hooked up and there is no sound coming out of the speakers. what should i do?

  10. Front Speaker Size: 5 1/2″ (odd sized speakers) to 6×9 (normal replacement speakers) / 5 1/4″ max depth
Rear Speaker Size: 5 1/4″ / 3″ max depth (for ext cab 4 door – other cabs not known).
